  • FedEx Update

So, I left a polite and detailed voicemail with my FedEx claim agent, Donna Buchleitner, on Sunday (five days ago).  Told her how I had actually taken care of the ”Shipper-approval” thing.  As one might expect, she never called me back.

Here is a video showing the results of senseless FedEx destruction of my stuff.  This could be your stuff!

Wow, and this worked before I shipped it?

    Styrofoam assumes reasonable handling

When I shipped this, you could not see through it

  • man this is a real disaster. Its like they used a wrecking ball on it or something

  • Wow, that’s a mess, wtf?!

  • Wow, they did some job on that!  Sorry.       So, are they going to do anything for you?  They ruined a $150ish key ring for me last year.  I submitted a claim and never heard from them.  Yup, I’m all about Brown!

  • That’s quite obliterated. Really pretty lame…

I wish you the best in suing FedEx for all they’ve got!

  • oh man, there is no way that happened just by dropping the box or something. that looks like they had to have been intentionally beating on it office space style with baseball bat. perhaps they took the markings outside clearly stating “Nice, Fast Computer” to mean, “Nice piƱata with delicious candy inside” and tried to get it open with a bat?

  • Wow, it looks like that thing must of fallen from the fed ex plane.

  • My brother used to fly freight for Fedex in Europe – about 14 years ago..  I remember going on one flight with him.. and watching the loaders handling the boxes.  It was really handling they did.

It was more like seeing how many times they could get the big boxes to roll down the inside of the airplane… much like a game.

To be honest,  your box doesn’t look like it had enough packaging to begin with.  I mean was that the box you got the tower in?  Just the case..  without all the drives and mother board and all inside.

Cause it looks like cheap packaging material..  things tend to fall alot in Fed ex… I’m surprised you didn’t bring it on the plane with you.

I doubt you’ll get compensation .. though you have my sympathy.  Pc’s are like children… they have our love… and without them  the loss is similar.

  • Well, the packaging was basically the case packaging supplemented with some extra padding around the edges (not in these pictures). I shipped it to New York, and it was just fine. No styrofoam broken, no damage. On the way from NY to Michigan, it arrived as shown. Granted, I could have done better, but you can always say that… they finally compensated me for the damage at the declared value. So, I’m satisfied, but not going to trust FedEx for a long time.

  • Good news… Had I not read your comment above, I was going to suggest getting a lawyer. Good to know that it didn’t have to come to that.
