Can Hillary still win?
News organizations are good at making it seem like a horse race that’s still kind of neck-in-neck. It’s good for fairness amongst the candidates, and it’s good for encouraging people to watch the news. But I wanted some straight answers. Vikas mentioned Intrade, where people can go buy stock in particular outcomes. They’ve got Obama at 91.6% right now. But still, that’s just a market, and markets aren’t always right.
So, is there a better way to end the discussion? Yes. The following table, I think, ends the dispute.
Obama will win the Democratic nomination.
*Updated*
Here’s how it works:
- Take the current delegate status, minus superdelegates.
- Take recent polls for the next two all remaining contests (Kentucky, Oregon, Puerto Rico, Montana, South Dakota), and give Hillary every single undecided voter. (This will not happen in reality unless she singlehandedly prevents a terrorist attack or Obama reveals a new strategy of “hopelessness,” with the catchphrase “no we can’t!”)
- Obama ends up on top, 1702 to 1588.
- Even if you include MI & FL, Obama ends up on top, 1771 to 1766.
In order for Hillary to win, then, 62% of the undecided superdelegates would have to decide to go against the popular vote. And remember, the real number will be higher than that because every assumption here heavily favored Clinton. Will this happen? No. I’d go buy some Intrade stock if I were you.

Good points here. I think the only way for Clinton to pull off a victory would be to dominate in the rest of the states like she did in West Virginia on Tuesday. If she does this, she may have the popular vote, but only if Michigan and Florida are counted. So if she sweeps the remaining states she will use this as leverage to convince Howard Dean why she’s the popular candidate and therefore Florida and Michigan need to be counted.
But even if she gets all those things she still needs the Super Delegates.
So yeah, she’s pretty much screwed, but she’s still got a prayer, which is why I think she’s still fighting tooth and nail..
Well, I’m rooting for Obama all the way. He’s definitely going to get it.
Mathematically speaking she can still pull off a win =)
Thank you.
I play around on the delegate counter at cnn.com and have shown this to my college history professor, who is getting a doctorate, who still believes Hillary can win. Nowwwww, I think she’s brilliant and if Obama wasn’t in the picture I’d support her fully, but he is. Sooooo….hopefully she’ll realize soon that she has lost and thow her full support behind Obama
I like how the media outlets are all behind Obama, counting out even John McCain now. I wonder who’ll get most of the media playtime in the Fall…..
I personally believe Hilary will stick it out, even if Obama gets past the nomination threshhold (hey, what happens if they both get past the 2,025 mark???), and will find some way to weasel her way into getting the nomination. The Clintons are too much the savvy pols to let the nomination slide out of their grasp….
Actually, I don’t know how to read the table. It’s sad.
Ya, I’m with kindofblur…couldn’t read that able…but it’s good to know that Obama will win.
It would be awesome if Hilary lost by so narrow a margin that she ran as an independent.
Even is she could get the nomination taking Michigan and Florida into account, she would not win the Predisential elections. I think she knows it and in the next days she must admit it.
I think it’s a wrap. She has to know when ambition becomes nuclear for her own party. With these numbers it should become very clear for her that she will not get the nomination and only further divide the party.
Hillary definitely still has a chance of winning. The Clintons would attempt every kind of backroom deal to get her the election. The chances of that happening, however, are growing smaller with every passing day as popular opinion strengthens on the side of Obama.
I have to qualify – I never wanted Clinton to win. For many reasons, including the really bad feelings on the part of conservatives (and many democrats) about the Clintons, her playing at being the blue-color voter’s dream (ummm…wow), and just plain not trusting the woman, I wouldn’t want her as the democratic candidate. Especially because the dems have a real chance at the White House this year, if they don’t mess it up like always…
On top of all that, the race has been going to Obama for a while now, and I think it would behoove anyone who cares about the democratic party to acknowledge that, so that we can start the real contest: Obama vs McCain. Let’s stop squabbling amongst ourselves and figure out how to win in November.
there are actually markets?
that’s silly, markets are all abt money and democracy means little…way less than it should in politics.
im not a political person, but ffs, idiocy much?
The media should focus on issues instead of the race itself!
For Hillary or Barack backers: Do you know differences between their stances on issues, or the policies they would implement? (Because there aren’t many.)
It’s getting to the point that I’ve started turning off the news whenever Hillary/Obama stuff comes on. I am tired of hearing about how “close” it is when tables like the one in this post show that Hillary cannot win without a major (and majorly improbable) superdelegate shift. I think she’s just got too much pride and too much invested to back out, which is sad. I think it’s hurting the party and her reputation to stick it in there even now.
@dreamingfaith -
first, regardless of how few or many differences their are, it’s the differences that count in the first place. in my 22 years of life, i have yet to see the main streams of media truly and honestly focus upon solely the issues and not the race, candidates, and mud-slinging involved in campaigning. the republican candidate was not contest even to begin with… so what else do you suggest they focus on at this point? also, i’m having a hard time drawing any huge differences between our current president and mccain… so what does that mean?
second, i don’t back obama simply because he’s a good speaker and seemingly a decent human being.. although they are part of the reason that i do. not all hillary/barack supporters are blind sheep following without researching issues. give us a little bit of credit here. we do have brains.
Nope. Even so, it doesn’t really matter. They are essentially the same candidate. Obama is just a bit more ultra-liberal than she is.
i think it’s sad half the people commenting you is supportive of Obama. Are you people watching what he is about? Do some research on both Hillary and Obama, and John McCain… Before you vote for the “popular” person at the time. I do not like Obama. I wouldn’t vote for him. *GO HILLARY* or *MCCAIN*
superdelegates are supposed to be independent… which is why i don’t understand why they’re all waiting around to see who wins the popular vote. why even have them if they are just going to go with the popular vote? why not just have the popular vote winner be the winner?
@mama_jess - And Obama wouldn’t fuck it up? The guy is fucking 42% black arab and at a Palistinian’s fundraising dinner he called the citizens of Pensylvannia gun-toting religious fanatics (in nicer words, of course). If Obama wins I’m voting Rebublican… and I didn’t even intend on fuckng voting.
http://rogue_butterfly.250free.com/Rants/BarakObama.htm
What’s really fucking sad is that so many of you are supporting a guy who attended a church that preaced god damn America for tenty fucking years. Trust me, he knew that shit was going on. The guy is anti-American.
Whoever wins, we all lose! But seriously, she’s going to drag down the democratic party due to her being stubborn and selfish.
Haha, I can’t read the table either.
I don’t know if she still has a chance but I really hope she does because otherwise I am voting for McCain! There is no way I will vote for Obama.
I heard that Hillary might run as an independent if she doesn’t get the democratic nomination.
Hello Jeffrey,
You worked hard to make your site simple yet elegant. The pictures are a nice touch. I see that you support elected officials and believe their hype. Actually, God is the only one we can trust! Not just any old god, but the one true God, Jehovah. He has an important message for all of us: 44 “In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever. (Daniel 2:44) (NIV)
I like to write articles about God and religion on my site to help people to really get to know what God’s plans are for us, especially in these troubled times. I hope you get a chance to look at them.
@Magma4pyro - wow, that sure is some bigoted, one-sided nonsense. seeing as how i’ve seen scary fundie crazies from both the muslim faith and the christian, his choice of mythology (or his skin color, for that matter) doesn’t really matter to me. of course, that article about him being a muslim is so much hyperbolic nonsense…
here’s the point-by-point refute, with actual sources, if you care at all about the other side.
as for his church’s pastor, I’m curious if you’ve listened to more than just the cut-up propaganda version that was played incessantly on “news” channels like Fox. The “God will damn America” quote has quite a bit of context to it. i would agree the pastor is pretty firey and maybe sticks his foot in his mouth, but from the country that brought us Falwell and Robertson, it’s sort of tame. Except that, gasp, it’s a black man that dares to say such things!
Note — the abbreviation for Montana is MT. Missouri (MO) has already gone to Obama.
If I had the money to buy some stock, maybe I would. I don’t know how big John McCain’s comeback earlier in the campaign was, but if he can pull of an upset, maybe she can too.
NO.
HILLARY CAN SUCK EGGS.
god damnit, i hate her so much. she’s ruining the democratic party running against a candidate she’s sure to lose against.
:/
This is some amazing debate. Since a bunch of people had trouble following the chart, I improved it and updated it. Poll data is updated and included what the totals would be if Michigan and Florida were fully included. (And I fixed a state abbreviation error, sorry Montana! Thanks @bluesky93)
Intrade’s up to 92.8 for Obama.
Barack the House!
“For we have a choice in this country. We can accept a politics that
breeds division, and conflict, and cynicism. We can tackle race only as
spectacle – as we did in the OJ trial – or in the wake of tragedy, as
we did in the aftermath of Katrina – or as fodder for the nightly news.
We can play Reverend Wright’s sermons on every channel, every day and
talk about them from now until the election, and make the only question
in this campaign whether or not the American people think that I
somehow believe or sympathize with his most offensive words. We can
pounce on some gaffe by a Hillary supporter as evidence that she’s
playing the race card, or we can speculate on whether white men will
all flock to John McCain in the general election regardless of his
policies.
We can do that.
But if we do, I can tell you that in the next election, we’ll be
talking about some other distraction. And then another one. And then
another one. And nothing will change.
That is one option. Or, at this moment, in this election, we can
come together and say, ‘Not this time.’”
Obama’s race speech
@JandJinJapan - That’s why come November, when McCain wins, everyone is going to be screaming “He stole the election”. The mainstream liberal media plays up the democrats.
@Reasoning - Please examine the Watchtower hype. John 1:1 in The Bible states “…and the Word was God.” The New World Translation has added one small word to deceive and totally change the meaning of the verse. The New World Translation states “….and the Word was a God.” indicating that there are multiple gods to fit with their agenda. There are warnings of false prophets in the Bible and a warning about adding and/or taking away from verses. This is only one of many things that The Watchtower organization has done.
http://www.carm.org is a good site to examine. Can the Jehovah’s Witness religion stand up to it?
If Obama wins the nomination, I’m voting for McCain.
Generally speaking, he’s pretty similar to Clinton. It’s just a matter of how he wants to tackle our country’s problems that pisses me off. If you research him and understand and compare that with the intentions of the Framers, you’ll see what I see. No, way am I voting for him. I think he’s cool and all, but I most certainly do not want him to be my president in Jan of 2009.
I think I stopped liking him from the moment Michelle Obama said that for the first time in her life, she was proud to be an American. WTF does that mean? I don’t trust Obama, and I have plenty reason not to.
His whole focus on hope is a load of bull. I don’t want to see change; I want to see things get fixed.
Oh well, I guess I’m voting Republican. = /
I don’t think America is ready for a black or woman president.
She is only hanging on in case he self destructs. That is not as imposable as it sounds, so she would be a fool to drop out. Now it would be smart of her to tone down the anti Obama attacks.
I’m not exactly sure what “media outlets” you’re looking at that still are making it look like Hillary has a chance. I’ve been hearing the assumption that it’s going to be an Obama-McCain contest in the fall from everywhere I look, it seems, lately, and talk of “Any way you slice it, Hillary cannot close the delegate and super-delegate gap with Obama, given the remaining primaries.”
The part that really gets me about the Obama vs. McCain contest that it will “inevitably” boil down to is the fact that Ron Paul hasn’t dropped out of the race, and has more remaining campaign money than any of the other candidates. He’s been marginalized by the media since the beginning of the race, to the point that he no longer is even mentioned. People acted like McCain and Huckabee were the only candidates left, then Huckabee dropped out, and even then they didn’t acknowledge this man of great integrity and economic knowledge. McCain is termed the “presumptive” Republican nominee seemingly only because the convention hasn’t actually happened yet, and not because someone else is being presumed to have lost. Mr. Paul may not have amassed a gigantic following like the others, but the donations to his campaign and the vociferity of his supporters is really quite impressive, given how he was shunned at debates and dismissed from being seriously taken as a Republican candidate.
Those superdelegates better wise up and give Hillary the nomination, lest those bitter Americans abstain from voting, or vote for McCain.
Vote for Hilary..If not for what she stands for..than for the mere fact that she stood by a man who cheated on her so it shows she is persistent in what she cares about..if she becomes president she will make sure america is taken care of..haha..ok I am lost..now
I don’t trust Hilary to be president for the fact she’s a sell out… and neither Obama because his inspiration has been gone after all the scandals happening in his run. And please, I really don’t want McCain, I rather kill myself instead of seeing this guy convert this country into a military compound! Politicians are useless, plain and simple. They don’t care about the little guy, it’s always about the big corporations after they danced all around covered in money. Let the money do all the talking, because words doesn’t work. That’s the now-a-day politician mentality.
@geishanutz - I have to disagree with your point. I think the reason why she didn’t divorce this guy is to gain more power. Because no one will ever vote a divorced woman. People are just prejudiced that way. It’s all about pretending.
@jamesmind - I’m bitter but that’s doesn’t mean I don’t have a voice or a choice. It means I rather have a clean conscience rather than have a big mistake of choosing someone I don’t like and not sure if he/she’s going to change America for the best, for the trully best.
@makemeawitness - It must be the time for everything. Here we have three choices… And old guy who have traumas from Vietnam with thoughts of revenge, A woman who was pretty screwed when her husband cheated on her, and a Afro-American that doesn’t sound Black.
@boredjm - Oh, please don’t vote unless you’re pretty sure of what choices these candidates has. (Repeat 100 times).
@dropsofjupiterihh - I really don’t want to think about it but since I’m average conspiracy theorist, I have 75% chance that if McCain will steal the election (because the people in charge of the voting process are runned by Bush relatives), the people are gonna say “WTF”. That will be it! That will be the anti-trust in the government, in the system and everything it has been standing up by a thread for centuries. Or like right now, people are gonna suck it up and deal with it.
@losertasticx - I really don’t like Hillary either. She’s just doing it for her husband… not for herself.
@Magma4pyro - If people will vote for McCain… god rest our poorly souls. And I’m not kidding.
@angryflower1 - I disagree with you. It seems to me that democrats are a lot louder than republicans, therefore people think the democrats are going to win, yet the whole time there is a large part of the country that are conservative, a big portion that are older and don’t say much. How you feel about McCain is exactly how I feel about Obama. He just doesn’t get it.
Well put. Now we have to work to heal the division in the party.
@angryflower1 - to be honest, the person we’re voting for is mccain’s vp, if you’re voting for mccain. i honestly don’t think that mccain will last through a presidency, and if he does, not through a second term.
and, though this may sound horrible, people are already making bets on when obama’s going to get shot. i mean, either way if hillary or obama get the nom, someone’s going to be shot at.
i think mccain is more predictable than obama. we’ve all seen mccain and hillary’s integrity put to the test… the results may be unpleasant, but the little i’ve seem of obama is more unsettling than what i’ve seen of hillary and mccain.
there’s no way i’m going to disenfranchise myself by not voting.
@angryflower1 - i think that’s like, the complete opposite. she doesn’t give a shit about this country – she wants the presidency for herself, no matter the cost to the country.
she’s an idiot for tearing the party down like this.
I like Hillary, although, you have very good points. I do NOT think she will win, though I’d rather she would.
I hope Obama wins. BROS BEFORE HOES!
I don’t know if the popular vote is really the best tool to measure a candidate’s success anymore. The situation seems- in recent elections- a candidate’s chance of winning is based on other factors which contribute to the final electoral vote. I am curious if this coming election’s popular vote is really a good predictor of the future.
hmm
I still hope Hillary stays in the race till the bitter end. It’s just more fun to watch stuff like that
Thanks for breaking down the math, but I still want to believe that she can make it.
梗係唔得啦`佢咁樣衰,,仲要有個咩咩咩同佢同名喎
你話佢仲win唔win倒吖喇
hope u can understand what i am talking about
call me crazy, but i can’t help but think that having a president who understands the Islamic people and their faith might actually be a good thing….
No need for politics. The math doesn’t lie.
@dropsofjupiterihh - That’s probalby true, although i think McCain will do great disservice to the USA if he wins. And good post response aobut the Watchtower Version of John 1:1.
it makes me sad to hear these people pulling for obama, as in my opinion the man hasn’t said anything, just pretty speeches which don’t touch on anything that matters to the people. the ones oohing and ahhing him aren’t thinking. imho. he hasn’t said anything of substance, and that should matter to the people with their ears open. hillary is a strong lady, and a fighter and a person whom i’m be proud to represent us as president. if the hillary haters (you either hate her or you like her) would just open their ears, they’d see she knows what’s she’s talking about. let all the votes be counted. though i think the media has swayed toward obama because they’re being pressured to do so…with teddy boy’s money behind it, and we know money talks. if he had just and would just say something that shows he knows what he’s talking about. the only word the man has said is “change,” and let’s face it, change is going to happen no matter what, after bush is out of there, thank God.
i like obama as a person, i don’t think he intentionally means to not say anything, and at first i was swayed by his pretty speeches…until i realized he wasn’t saying much at all. i voted for hillary here in texas in the primaries. i will not vote for obama in the general if the supers feel pressured to put him over the top in votes. i am a democrat, but for the first time i’m standing my ground on this. the sway of the crowd means nothing to me anymore, and i’ve been voting for a long time in presidential races. i didn’t vote for nixon, nor did i vote for reagan. glad i didn’t. i realize not voting for obama, if he’s nominated, is a vote for mcain. i feel strongly about this, and even if hillary loses (which it looks like she will, unfortunately) and tells us to back obama, i will not because that’s just how strongly i feel about this. let the chips fall where they may.
@JandJinJapan - Well, I disagree with you there. I don’t think Obama has a clue what we are really dealing with and that’s taking into consideration that he can be trusted, personally I don’t trust him. I’ve come to that conclusion taking into consideration the church that he attended for 20 years, the comments that he and his wife have made and his personal connections. I think he’s an elitist with an agenda towards socialism or worse. On top of that he has voted against medical treatment for abortion victims that have survived and wants to raise taxes. Although I don’t care for Hillary either, she gets it more than he does. If I had had my choice Thompson would’ve been president.
Thanks, I have friends that have family that are JW. I’ve done a lot of research on it. Although I pray that the commenter will look things up and be able to see the truth for themselves, the Watchtower has a pretty good hold on them.
@dropsofjupiterihh - Ditto about Thompson being President…..unfortunately, I don’t believe he really wanted it. Amnd you are right on about Obama: he’s totally without a clue. Anyone who says they’d sit down and have dialogue with known terrorists and terror supporters, not to mention madmen who’ve promised to nuke another nation, is dillusioned or totally naiive at best. Good response…
I’ll keep praying for your family. The Watchtower peoopel have been coming around my door quite a bit lately, even though I’ve had Biblical dialogue with them (once they know someone knows the Bible, they usually never appear at the door again), and keep hoping for a chance to share the Gospel with them….
Blessings to you today…
AUSTRALIA LOVES OBAMA
I *knew* Hillary couldn’t win, but the media kept making me doubt it. Thanks for your fantastic clarification.
So here’s the question: What is the woman doing still running? Did you see John McCain on SNL last weekend? He nailed it on the head. “Keep fighting amonsgt yourselves,” he said, suppressing a grin. He was hilarious.
@dropsofjupiterihh - ” I don’t
think Obama has a clue what we are really dealing with and that’s
taking into consideration that he can be trusted, personally I don’t
trust him. “
He has shown no naivite. He is highly educated on all of the issues and has innovative ideas about how to solve our problems — new ways, ways that may work better than what the old school has tried before. Fresh ideas. Ever seen Mr.Smith Goes to Washington with Jimmy Stewart? You should rent it. THAT’S who Obama is, who he emulates. It’s just the type of person we need right now.
“I’ve come to that conclusion taking into consideration the
church that he attended for 20 years, the comments that he and his wife
have made and his personal connections.”
For crying out loud. We all have personal connections who are unsavory. And if the church is a good church that does good works with a congregation that’s upstanding and compassionate and feels like family, you don’t quit going because 1 out of every 40 or more sermons gets a little overblown. Do you know Rev. Wright has preached over 205,000 hours in that church, and everyone is judging him by less than 20 seconds of soundbytes? It’s not fair. You know it’s not.
” I think he’s an elitist with
an agenda towards socialism or worse. “
Personally, I WANT an intellectual in the White House for a change. They called Gore an elitist, too. For gosh sakes. What do you want? A community college grad who stumbles in his speeches because he/she makes you more comfortable? Oh, and people are ALWAYS calling the Democrats policies socialist, but they’re NOT. People like you who say Democrats are socialists are trying to make this a one-party country. That’s not patriotic.
” On top of that he has voted
against medical treatment for abortion victims that have survived and
wants to raise taxes. “
The abortion thing, I hadn’t heard of, but it very well could have been tied to major pork. Those are usually the reasons why good people don’t vote for things like that. And as for raising taxes, face it: The way Bush has been running the economy into the ground and our deficit is beyond unbelievable, the next president has no choice but to raise taxes. NO CHOICE. It’s Bush’s fault. The next president, Senator Obama, is simply a realist.
” Although I don’t care for Hillary either, she
gets it more than he does.”
She gets it, eh? If she so “gets it,” why doesn’t she realize she hasn’t a snowball’s chance in hell of winning and drop the f out of the race?
”If I had had my choice Thompson would’ve
been president. “
Now there’s a real intellectual for you. A guy with a great strategy who couldn’t even implement getting into the top 4 candidates in the primary. I’m using the word great sarcastically.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ffEbeTK2rSk
@UFFda_oyVEY - he was from some community colledge.
“He has shown no naivite. It’s just the type of person we need right now”
For Example?
I’m thinking that this week is going to show whether or not Clinton is going to stay in. We’re seeing the beginning of the end. There’s been a lot of rumblings about her campaign beginning to slow down.
I knew I should have used more compelling argument to support my theory..darn it..lol..I honestly don’t know whether the country is more packed with conservatives..liberals or democrats..but I do know that we all are in dire need of a change. I am not a demo, lib or republican but if I had a option of voting before I would have voted for Bush so you see it is all the matter of knowing and picking which candidate fits your idea of change..and as far as your comment goes on Obama..I am with you there..I don’t get it either..is it just hype or people just trying to be politically correct..by trying to vote for him…
Nice table, I really appreciate it, it’s tough to know what information to take since every news network is telling us something different. I voted for Obama in the primaries, and I intend to vote for the democratic nominee REGARDLESS of who it is. I know that they are the same candidate when it comes to the issues, but I’m from New York and I don’t like how Hilary had nothing to do with New York State in her life and then one day woke up and decided she wanted to be our senator. But it’s better than McCain’s 100 years war.
If Clinton wins, I have 10 votes she will not get in the general-my mother, mother-in-law, mine, 3 daughters, 1 grand-daughter and 3 men. All white middle class educated but still poorish-rich in love poor in wealth.
Obama will win so this is not going to happen.
Go O’Bama this Irish family is for you.
It pretty much doesn’t matter to me what happens. I’ll be gone just after November anyway (Places to go, things to do, people to see), but I mean.. this country cannot afford more of the same of what it’s had.
It’s had people with deep deep pockets and ties to special interest, which she has, and people with general incompetence and self control issues, which McCain definitely has. Either one of them wins, this nation is finished, if it wasn’t driven beyond the point of no return already.
Obama.. strikes me as a newbie.. but a well intended, courageous, worldly one. If there is ONE thing we need, it’s radical change, all across the board. Fuck what a reverend said, you people weren’t even privy to the WHOLE statements most of you, lol. Fuck his ethnicity.. i thought this was America and we don’t judge people by the color of their skin (or the genetic nuances therein)?…He’s been to many places, he has roots everywhere and he’s grown up amid the inconvenient truths about America.
If anyone knows how to change a place with many imperfections, its someone who’s honest and objective about them and not afraid to speak about them. It’s also someone who, from the heart, intends to use what he’s given for said changes. If you ask me, he’s got hella balls for putting himself and his happy family on the line for this.
If he were more selfish, he’d settle at the millions he’s made from his books and keep himself .. his wife and kid… secure in local politics. That’s what any have-more, or career politician would decide to do. Evidentially, he’s not doing this for his health. He can’t be, lol.
I didn’t mean to go on about Obama but people have the STUPIDEST reasons why their against him.. up here, he’s not black enough (How black does a black man have to be to remain a cardholder?)… elsewhere.. he’s too Arab-muslim (Whatever happened to freedom of religion?..and I don’t think he’s Arab or a terrorist.. and if he were.. there’s much less complicated ways of getting a punch in and getting away with it, scott-free… as Osama Bin Laden proved. Logically, why would a man, in Barack’s position and wealth, ruin it like that? That’s just stupid as a theory.)… elsewhere still.. he doesn’t talk flowery enough..(Can’t fix a country if you’re not willing to attack it’s problems) ..just because his middle name’s Hussein..and his last name sounds like Osama..(Which I’m surprised Hillary hasn’t made any grade school jokes of that, even) and lastly… some of the people who support him are idiots..(nuff said) don’t you remember how unfair it was to get grounded for your friend’s potty mouths?..
It just downright offends me to know that that’s why my country, my city, and state keep getting ran into the ground by dirty, baby-kissing, more of the same politicians.. because people haven’t the courage to vote for change.
More to the point though, she can’t win at this point.. there’s the remote possibility but she is NOT going to sweep the rest of the numbers.. cuz the more she loses, the more of her true colors she shows.. and the more she does that, the more support she loses. It’s a cycle I like to call, the mask coming off.
He stands a chance of smashing McCain who himself admitted he has no idea how to run the ship he’s campaigning to.. and if SHE really gave the damn about the country that she speaks about, she’d concede defeat so that the party can addy up and prepare to kick ass in November.. instead of further championing the reputation they’ve carried as squabbling crabs with no solidarity.
Just as Dean Scream said (He shall forever be known as this, by me,.. but don’t get me wrong.. I rather liked his..unique.. display of enthusiasm), we have to get it together in June or we risk losing the farm, again. If this country does fall into the wrong hands, then God help you for letting it happen, and have mercy on you in the future it’s going to yield.
She just waiting for Huckabee’s “joke” to happen
The most depressing thing about this post is the fact that some of the readers can’t read the diagram and what’s more is that they’re willing to admit it! Beyond that, this post is moot since Edwards already endorsed Obama.
Regardless, I was not a fan of any of the politicians when they were originally set forth. Being an independent, I simply choose the best candidate regardless of their political party affiliation. That said, I have state the less-than-popular opinion and say that I truly beleive that John McCain would better understand where to take this country from here. Both Hillary and Obama seem to be doing little more than pandering at this point. Honestly, I had heard nothing about Hillary running as an independent if she didn’t get the DNC’s endorsement but I hope it’s true. Unless a better independent candidate pops up that the American people will actually acknowledge despite their unfamiliarity, this will simply show that McCain is what is right for this country right now and that the other two should (potentially) be left for a different term.
Good Post Jeff ! enjoyed it. To be honest, its gone past the point of which one is the best candidate for the presidential race.
This has ran the Democratic Party right into the ground. McCain has won this race before it even got off the ground. What they need to
do is put both of them on the ticket and make Obama as president and Hillary as VP. That’s the only chance of a democrat getting
into the White House. It will never happen, because Hillary’s ego will not deflate that much ! independent
Personality wise, Obama all the way.
clinton is a selfish and ungracious loser. she’s like that unwanted guest that won’t leave your party.
Hillary has no chance, and I am offended by the people cursing about Obama (especially since if they can’t spell, I’m worried about how much they’re educating themselves about the race versus just believing inflammatory stuff about his preacher and his arab-ness). A lot of people are unhappy about American politics and Obama’s preacher/father should not be determinative in this election. Even if was arab/muslim/pro-palestine, it has no bearing on his capabilities to do good things for this country. Haters like that are what he was trying to address in his race speech and why most of the world is anti-america.
@DarkYangofICE - AMEN TO THAT!
Hillary is obviously not going to win because she’s indeed made the American public mistrustful of her.
Nontheless, what I’m saying is that she’s a(n excessive) liar. Most politions (are liars, but Hillary has taken over the top) have their own style of trying to gain popular votes or what not. Hillary on the other hand with all of her “experience” seems as if she has no “experience” at all. Needless to say I need not mention the “Sniper Fire in Bosnia” incident or the “Chelsea watching the buildings explode on 9-11″; simply she could say something rediculous like “North Korea has formed an alliance with the United States” *Dallas Explodes*
Hillary: “I mispoke”
Enough said.
HILARY HILARY HILARY! SHE ROX
There really is no one to vote for in the democratic party Hillary is socialist and Obama is anti-American, if you care at all about America which most Americans don’t then you will not vote either one of these people into office or they will drag America into a direction that we will never return from.
Wouldn’t running independent make it easier for McCain to win?
@UFFda_oyVEY - I just wrote up a long response to your attack, giving you links to back everything and have decided not to post it. You need to research it all for yourself and see who you’re really voting for. I would suggest that you do that instead of basing your political ideology on a Hollywood movie.
I agree with you. Obama will win, because I can guarantee that he’s won Oregon. He had 72,000 people show up for his rally in Portland, compared to Clinton’s 50. I think unless Florida and Michigan votes get counted, she definitely doesn’t stand much of a chance.
With respect to all of those people who are talking about the difference that really doesn’t exist between Obama and Hillary’s stance on the issues- you’re right. That’s why they’re both in the Democratic Party, right? Because they have similar, if not the same ideals. I think the big clincher for me, is how either will be perceived in the international community. Obama will be better received because he’s a person of color. You’ve also got to look at their backgrounds. I think it’s impossible to vote solely on the issues because who they are as people will also determine how they lead.
jeff, there’s still a chance and you should know to never underestimate the power of a woman.
@whenindeutschland - yes they are powerful, aren’t they?
Well it’s hard to say now….but I think it will be a close call. I do want her to win!!!!!
@EuphoriaUnplugged - that is so offensive. especially coming from a woman.

Sen. Hitlary Clinton- Liar, Liar, Pantsuits On Fire!
Hillary Clinton! Liar, Liar, Pantsuits On Fire!
That was just too funny not to add, although I obviously could careless if they blow their infrastructure up from the inside out, it’s simply. Hillary Clinton is such a bad liar, I wonder if she’s pathological???
“We bombed them [Iraq] for days in 1998 because Saddam Hussein threw out inspectors.” — HRC at the Los Angeles debate, justifying the bombing of Iraq during Bill’s second term. In reality, bombing was planned for months and Bill Clinton ordered the inspectors out in anticipation of the bombing campaign.
That’s sweet, but it’s also a lie. When Clinton was born, in 1947, Sir Edmund Hillary was an unknown beekeeper.
Hillary Clinton called the votes in Florida and Michigan “fair,” and offered two options; “honor the results or hold new primary elections.” Both candidates agreed not to campaign in these states, abiding by any decision made by the DNC. Obama’s name did not even appear on the ballot in Michigan. The notion that these were fair is patently absurd.
Hillary told NBC Dateline that, on the morning of September 11, 2001, Chelsea had “gone on what she thought would be a great jog. She was going down to Battery Park, she was going to go around the towers. She was going to get a cup of coffee and — that’s when the plane hit!” Later, Chelsea wrote an essay on where she was that morning. Turns out she was in a friend’s apartment on Park Avenue South. She watched it on television.

She can’t even lie good if they’ve already got these on here… And many more. Pantsuits on fire!
Obviously McCain is the next president although I wish the nation would be a little bit more modernistic and select Obama… Oh well, people hate change.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=skIlZflDs9Y&feature=related A little about Hillary.
It’s a story of mine. I wear the links of london in my whole life. No one knows why I love so much the ring. I also don’t know why. We even don’t know what his name is and how old he is and where he come and went. It really likes a ridiculous story. But I have a proof that is the links of london jewellery ring. It’s neither a dream nor a girl’s imagination.
I don’t know if you can see this article, if you can remember the period happiness, I hope you can have a happy life.
